State Energy Efficiency databases

Many states have programs to encourage energy efficiency. The American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (ACEEE) regularly updates its free online State Energy Efficiency Policy Database, which makes accessing information about your state’s energy efficiency programs, standards and “reward structures” as easy as clicking on a an interactive map. The ACEEE database can be accessed at: www.aceee.org/sector/state-policy.
The Database of State Incentives for Renewables and Efficiency (DSIRE) is an online resource that lists state and federal incentives for buying an alternative fuel car, greening up a home and embracing energy efficiency. The DSIRE incentives information database can be accessed at: www.dsireusa.org.
The ENERGY STAR website details program
requirements for geothermal heat pumps and other products. The site describes offers and rebates from cities and utilities for equipment that meets federal standards: http://www.energystar.gov/index.cfm?fuseaction=find_a_product.showProductGroup&pgw_code=HP
