*The IL Geothermal Conference kicks off on Wednesday, March 11 with a GREAT service tech seminar on Emerson Copeland Scroll compressor diagnostics/troubleshooting and refrigerant controls. There will also be a review of overall system operations. Brad Hess and John Haug of Emerson will lead this training. Emerson tip cards will be provided to all participants.

*Conference breakout sessions begin Thursday, March 12 with more than 30 speakers. Geo experts from around the country will lead two full days of seminars/training for dealers, technicians, engineers/architects, loop installers and utility reps. The tentative agenda for all three days is on the GAOI website and you'll find it through the registration links below.

*Continuing education credits for BPI, engineers, health dept. officials and drillers.

*View the latest geo technology, equipment and methods -- excellent networking opportunities. More than 30 vendor exhibits.

*2nd annual "GAOI Frozen Open" mini golf tournament on the evening of March 11.

*GAOI accreditation exams on site.

*Two evenings of hospitality sessions on March 11-12.

Hotel Accomodations: Rooms remain at $109 on Thursday, March 12 at Embassy Suites, 100 Conference Center Dr., East Peoria, IL. To make a reservation in the GAOI room block, call Embassy Suites at (309) 694-0200 and ask for the geothermal room block. FYI, there are NO MORE $109 rooms remaining in the GAOI block for March 11.

Hotel alternative: GAOI has a secondary block of rooms at $109 at Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites, East Peoria. Rooms are available for both nights at this rate through March 5. Call (309) 698-3333 for reservations and ask for a room in the geothermal block. The Holiday Inn and Suites is a new, beautiful property 3 minutes drive from the conference site. The hotel is ALL GEOTHERMAL and LEED Platinum - and home to the new Johnny's Italian Steakhouse. There's free wi-fi in all rooms and Holiday Inn will provide complimentary shuttle service back and forth upon request between the two facilities.
