GAOI will hold its popular Geothermal Installation Basics training/testing in conjunction with the 2026 IL Geothermal Conference.

Course Overview

The class begins at 8 am on Monday, March 9 and will wrap up around 5:00 pm that evening.  Dave Buss is the instructor. The course provides a solid overview of all phases of geothermal installation, as well as general refrigeration principles and troubleshooting. It is designed as an overview course and is perfect for a relatively new technician. Participants are eligible to take the installation and service exams following the training.

Class Cost
